The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met with the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Karin Boven, the Ambassador of Finland, Matti Nissinen, and the Ambassador of Sweden, Jonas Westerlund, with whom she discussed the current political situation in the country caused by the blockade of the Assembly's work. They also discussed bilateral cooperation with these countries in various fields, according to a statement from the Presidency of Kosovo.

During the conversation with the diplomatic representatives of the Netherlands, Finland, and Sweden, President Osmani thanked the EU ambassadors for their continued support of Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration.

The EU ambassadors expressed concern over the blockade of the Kosovo Parliament, which has failed to convene even after 26 attempts. Following the parliamentary elections held on March 9 this year, the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo and leader of the Self-Determination Movement, Albin Kurti, was unable to secure majority support in the new parliamentary session for his party’s candidate for Speaker of the Parliament.

A new session of the Kosovo Assembly is scheduled for June 6.
